The arithmetic that must add up to zero
There is a particular kind of anxiety that accompanies the final investigational product reconciliation. It is not the anxiety of complexity -- the math itself is simple enough. You received a certain number of units from the sponsor. You dispensed a certain number to participants. Participants returned a certain number. Some units remain in your pharmacy inventory. Some may have been destroyed under authorization. Add it up, subtract, and the remainder should be zero.
